One of then bucket list projects that has been lingering is our work to paint about 150 Foundry 25mm medievals for Game of Thrones games using Lions Rampant or Burn and Loot. One son has been working on this project for a couple years, and we just jumped in.
Up first a full unit of 12 Tully infantry with their leaping fish sigil. Okay – you paint a dozen leaping fish freehand! No one will ever have the license to do shield transfers, so freehand it is. Actually it was fun.
The Tully archers half unit are here:
And here a half-unit of Stark archers. Not many mentions in the book, but needed to keep the King in the North out of too much trouble. Picture these guys on the walls of the new 4Ground fortress we got at GenCon.
My son has dozens of units sorted out – there are a half-doze Lannister cavalry on the table primed now. Aside from the Foundry figures, we have many boxes from Fireforge Games, some Perry Medievals, and even a couple boxes of Frostgrave Barbarians and soldiers in the to-do box for this one. Lots of fun and utility.
We still need to find a Tyrion we like! All miniatures are 100% historically accurate…..
