War of 1812: Mississinewa Reenactment Pictures and uniform inspiration

The Mississinewa festival is an annual celebration of the War of 1812 and the Hoosier spirit.  I have painted an extensive 1812 collection but as with many other periods in the basement, the collection has seen few games.

The 18mm Blue Moon miniatures turn out very well.

The period seems a great opportunity for combined operations, but perhaps someday it will make its way to the tabletop again.  Regimental Fire and Fury I think?  Black Powder is always an alternative.

So here are photos of many of the units of reenactors from the celebration – helpful for painting.
